Report Fraud!

Good Morning,

Myself, PCSO Donna Longhurst and other PCSO's from across Greater Manchester attended a Report Fraud workshop yesterday at Sedgley Park, which was presented by our Economic Crime unit.

The day consisted of all the different types of fraud our community are victim to, from online fraud, holiday fraud, romance fraud, credit card fraud, identity theft, cold calling, Phishing (tricking victims into revealing sensitive data through fake emails/texts or phone calls, often impersonating banks) courier fraud (fraudsters pose as police or banks officials to collect cards/cash or pin numbers in person) financial and banking fraud (when victims are tricked into sending money via a banking system)

This is becoming one of the highest volumes of crimes reported to GMP and Report fraud with online shopping being the highest.

If you or someone you know has become a victim of any of these types of crimes then please report to us or Report Fraud and it will be investigated.
